Nov. 6th, 2012, the signing ceremony of “Agreement for Academic Exchanges and Cooperation Among the Royal School of Library and Information Science, The Kingdom of Denmark, The Berlin School of Library and Information Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and The School of Information Management, Wuhan University” is held in the auditorium on fifth floor of SIM. Professor Fang Qing, the dean of SIM, professor Per F.V.Halse in The Royal School of Library and Information Science of the Kingdom of Denmark, assistant professor Elke Greifeneder in The Berlin School of Library and Information Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin represented their own school to participate the ceremony. Vice professor Jette Hyldegard and Birger Larsen from The Royal School of Library and Information Science, deputy minister of International Exchange Department of Wuhan University Li Xiaoshu, director of Eurasian Affairs Office, Anna Luo, party secretary of information management institutes, Dong Youming, vice president Huang Ruhua and professor Lu Wei attended the signing ceremony.

Since 2008, Our school has discussed with the Royal School of Library and Information Science of the Kingdom of Denmark about the possibilities of mutual teachers visiting, students exchange and cooperating research and has reached agreement on some basic issues, which include extensive issues, such as exchange of undergraduates and PhD students, organizing professional conference together and communicating information and so on. The exchange project showed that undergraduate and graduate students on both sides could go to the other side country to study for one year for free and all credits acceptance.

After the signing ceremony, professor Per F.V.Halse in The Royal School of Library and Information Science of the Kingdom of Denmark, assistant professor Elke Greifeneder in The Berlin School of Library and Information Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin gave excellent academic reports for the students and teachers in our school.
