Professor Lu An was Elected as the First Chinese Director of International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO)

On August 2, 2020, in the election of the ISKO Executive Board, Professor Lu An, young teacher of our school, was elected by a high vote and became one of the three directors of the new board of directors of ISKO. She was also the first Chinese director since the establishment of ISKO.

Professor Lu An has been engaged in the research of visualized knowledge discovery and network data analysis for a long time. She has been committed to applying the theory and method of information science such as knowledge organization to the research and practice of management problems, so as to meet significant demands of society. She serves as Special Project Officer of Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T), director of Information Society of Hubei Province, member of Artificial Society Special Committee of China Simulation Federation, and member of the program committee of many important international academic conferences, such as ASIS&T Annual Meeting, iConference, ACM/IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL), International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries (ICADL). She is also reviewer of more than 20 indexed journals of SSCI, EI and CSSCI with a certain reputation in the field of Library and Information Science at home and abroad.
