In March 30th 4 pm, Song Qing stadium was full of sports enthusiasm and volleyball’s spirit. The 2016 final of the Wuhan University students' volleyball match would be staged. More than 300 undergraduates, graduate students and teachers from The School of Information Management came to live games and cheered for the volleyball players. Before the start of the game, around the field was surrounded by the cheerleading teachers and students in our college. College flags, banners, display panels, drums, trumpet and everything, our college cheerleader's enthusiasm inspired all game players

Finally, men's volleyball and women volleyball of our school has defeated the opponent, both win and create brilliant college sporting events. This was also the first time a school won the double crown since the new Wuhan University’s inception in 2000 creating the record of Wuhan University torch Cup Volleyball Tournament.

First began the women's volleyball final. Our school's women volleyball team has defeated the College of Life Sciences, the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, the Electronic Information School, the School of Resources and Environmental Sciences, the School of Journalism and Communication, the School of Geodesy and Geomatics and the School of Urban Design to enter the final. Opponents of the final was a strong old opponent-the Economics and Management School. At the beginning, the scene was a stalemate. Because of serving and spiking mistakes, our school lost the first round. Then our school won the women's volleyball champion with a total score of 3:1 successfully defeated the opponent. This was the third women's Volleyball Championship of our school in recent 4 years. Qin Jie won the "most valuable player" title once again.

The men's volleyball final was held afterwards. Men's Volleyball in our school has defeated the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, the School of Geodesy and Geomatics, the School of Political Science and Public Administration, the College of Chinese Language and Literature, the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering and the School of Foreign Language and Literature enter in the finals again. The opponent was the traditional strong school-the Electronic Information School. The men's volleyball finals began at 7 pm. With the tacit understanding and sharp attacking, the players of our team won the first round, then lost the second. Subsequently, the players’ mood swung making frequent mistakes and lost the third round. In the fourth round, out team was in the backward position at first. Then the players started to fight back chasing one point after the other to win this key round. The wonderful performance of the players blew the audience and cheers was deafening. With stable mentality, the players of our school to won the ‘Torch Cup’ Men's volleyball tournament champion for the first time, achieving the school's double crown dream and creating the history of our school. Lu Tong won the "most valuable player" title.

After the game, a grand ceremony was held. The players of our school held up the championship trophy, embraced tightly together and shed tears of excitement. All audience in the stadium applauded not only to celebrate the trophy of our school team members, but also to express gratitude the two sides of the athletes staged a wonderful peak duel.’ Information management, we love you; information management, always first!
