On January 2nd, 2018, the International Society for Informetrics and Scientometrics (ISSI) reported on their official site Data and Information Management (DIM), the English Journal created by the School of Information Management and the Center for the Studies of Information Resources. The Report not only makes an introduction of the journal, but recommends the DIM to all the authors and sincerely calls for papers.

In October, 2017, the DIM and Professor Cassidy R. Sugimoto, the president of the ISSI, had a discussion in Wuhan University on the mutual cooperation and drafted the preliminary cooperative plan. Later on, the both parties formally initiated the cooperative program, including the propagation of the DIM on the ISSI’s official channels, and the inclusion of the research papers related to ISSI academic conferences in the DIM. The DIM and the ISSI planned to strengthen the cooperation in the future and broaden the scope of cooperation, realizing the more in-depth and multi-faceted mutual cooperation.

Since the creation of the DIM, the DIM has promoted the international development of the journal by all means, including establishing the cooperative relationship with all kinds of academic organizations, participating in the top international academic conferences like ASIS&T and iConference, obtained multi-faceted academic resources in various ways, carried out academic communications, established and expanded academic social networks, laying the solid foundation for quickly and better turning the DIM into a well-known international academic journal.
