Recently, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education publicized the review results of key projects of philosophy and social science research of Ministry of Education in 2019. Professor Si Li'sA Research on the Construction of Multi-language and Shared Economic Management Database for Countries in Belt and Road Zoneproject and Professor Li Mingjie’sChina's Ancient Scientific and Technological Documentation Collation and Researchproject were approved.

49 projects have been approved this year, there were 3 projects among them from Wuhan University. The number ranked second nationally with Peking University and South China University of Technology. 2 projects from our school, accounting for 2/3 of the total number of Wuhan University, which reflected strong scientific research strength of our school in the field of library and information management, and archives management.

Key Research Projects of the Ministry of Education is one of the highest-level scientific research projects in the humanities and social sciences. This kind of project aims to support the needs of higher education institutions to adapt to the national economic and social development, grasp the frontiers of disciplines, and carry out in-depth and systematic innovative research. National universities and ministries and commissions collected research topics, and after fully demonstration and review by experts, about 50 topics were selected each year, and then open bidding for universities across the country, finally, project establishment after strict evaluation and publicity. A number of important achievements have been made until now.
