Recently, Lin Zhang, Professor at the SIM, Wuhan University, was appointed as the Co-Editor-in-Chief ofScientometrics, aninternationally renowned academic journal.
Scientometricswas founded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1978. It is the earliest and the largest published journal in the field of international Scientometrics and Informetrics and one of the most influential journals in this field internationally. This journal is a SCI and SSCI double-retrieval journal. Currently, it is jointly published by Springer Nature, an internationally renowned publishing house, and Akadémiai Kiadó, a Hungarian Academy of Sciences publishing house. It publishes the latest research results of theory and practice in the fields of scientometrics, informetrics, science and technology evaluation and science and technology policy, etc. in 12 issues annually. The latest JCR influence factor is 3.238 and CiteScore influence factor is 5.2.
Lin Zhang has been engaged in the research of scientometrics, science and technology evaluation, science and technology policy and other related fields for a long time. Professor Lin Zhang is a board member of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI), and it is the first time a Chinese scholar was elected as a board member of the ISSI. Since 2018, she has served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief ofScientometrics.Because of her outstanding performance in the position of deputy editor-in-chief, the journal and publishing houses sent her an invitation to be a co-editor-in-chief. Since January 2022, Lin Zhang, together with Wolfgang Glänzel, Secretary of ISSI, winner of the Price Award, the highest international honor in the field of Scientometrics and Informetrics, Professor at KU Leuven, served as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
