On the morning of December 31, the SIM held the 2021 New Year Meeting for Retired Faculty and Staff.

People attended the meeting were as followings:

and directors of all departments.

Xingrong Fu presided over the meeting.

Xingrong Fuextended sincere new year greetings to the retired faculty and staff of the whole school and extended a warm welcome to the representatives. He briefly introduced the retirement work of the SIM in 2020 and 2021, and fully affirmed the work of the Association of theElderly and Party branch of retired faculty and staff.Xingrong Fuemphasized that during the COVID-19 prevention and control in the past 2 years, the Association of theElderly and Party branch of retired faculty and staff overcame difficulties and successfully completed various tasks to ensure the safety of all.

Wei Lu wished the retired faculty and staff a happy new year, and made a brief report on the development of the SIM in recent years in subject construction, teaching staff, scientific research, talents training, international exchanges, social service, fixed assets and facilities, etc. He said that the achievements of the SIM could not be separated from the solid foundation laid by predecessors and the support from all sides, and he expected the elder comrades to continue to support and care for the development of the school.

Retiredrepresentativesspoke enthusiastically.Zhuohua Xie thanked the school for its constant concern and care, so that everyone could live healthily and happily.

Changya Wang said that these inspiring achievements of the school mainly depend on the united and harmonious leadership team. In particular, he affirmed the thoughts of attaching importance to students and young teachers in talents training and the construction of teaching staff.

Zichu Luo made suggestions on external exchange work, he hoped that the school would strengthen its ties with the industry, build the brand awareness of disciplines and improve the employment rate of graduates.

Yuying Jiao believed that the cross-integration of speciality has brought new opportunities to the development of disciplines, and hoped that the school could make good use of talents, seize opportunities and make greater breakthroughs.

Shaoqiang Zhang hoped that the school would give full play to its specialized influence, strengthen its ties with the industry, make good use of alumni resources and innovate development ideas.
