On the morning of June 8, the 2021 International Archives Day and publicity activity of the new Archives Law held by Wuhan University Archives opened in the Old Library at Cherry Castle. Ping Wu, Vice President of Wuhan University, and more than 90 people including members of Wuhan University archives work committee, archivists of all filing units and students representatives attended the activity.

SIM was awarded Excellent Organizer of Soliciting Articles in the 2021 Publicity Activities of International Archives Day. Hua Wang, Associate Dean of the SIM, received the award on behalf of the school. Ling Fu, Deputy Director of the Party's Political Affairs Office, made a report on the experience of the outstanding archives work unit on behalf of the SIM. At the same time, Xiaochun Liu, Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial Archives and alumnus of 1984-grade majored in Archives, was invited to give a special lecture with the title of Cultural Confidence and the Mission of Archivists.

Archives management is a basic and key link in the administrative work of colleges and universities. The archivists in colleges and universities undertake the glorious mission of "managing archives for the Party, keeping history for the country and serving the people". Our school has always attached great importance to archives management, continuously strengthened the cultivation of professional ability, improved the awareness of archives service, expanded the extension of archives work, and helped the construction of “double first-class” disciplines.
