On May 16, the contest and defense meeting for the 2020-2021 academic year excellent student union of Wuhan University was held. Liming Deng, a member of the presidium of the SIM student union, participated in the defense as representative, focusing on presentation of the achievements of the SIM student union in the past one year. After the preliminary comprehensive work assessment and on-the-spot oral defense, the SIM student union won the honorary title of "2020-2021 Excellent Student Union of Wuhan University". There were only 10 student unions won the title in the whole university, and this time was the eighth consecutive award of our school.

On the occasion of the centennial of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the centennial of SIM, the 20th SIM student union has made great efforts to do a good job in ideological guidance, learning atmosphere construction, cultural and sports activities, rights and interests protection, etc., and has won "2020-2021 Sunshine Sports Advanced Collective", "2020-2021 Excellent Rights and Interests Collective Award" (the sixth in Wuhan University, a new record), "2020-2021 Excellent Learning Atmosphere Construction Collective" (the second in Wuhan University, a new record) . And SIM student union supported SIM women's volleyball team won the first place in the "Torch Cup", and SIM men's basketball team won the third place in the "Take-off Cup", which was the best result in history, and helped SIM team won the excellent organization award of the seventh Achievement Exhibition of National E-commerce Innovation, Creativity, Entrepreneurship Challenge Competition for College Students, 2020 "Challenge Cup" College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition Advanced Collective, Golden Autumn Art Festival Sitcom third prize, Dance Competition third prize, Wuhan University Campus Proposal Competition second prize and many other achievements.
