The discipline construction of Archival Science is facing new challenges and opportunities under the background of "The 14th Five-year Plan" and new liberal arts. In order to promote the construction of archives discipline and personnel training, SIM held a seminar on the planning of archives discipline construction in the 14th five-year plan on the morning of March 26.

Professor Xiaoguang Wang,Associate Dean of SIM, andteachers from the Department of Archives and Government Information attended the meeting. Xiaoguang Wang presided over the seminar.

Wei Lu made a speech to express welcome and gratitude for experts from academia and industry. He introduced the basic information of the school, affirmed the construction and development of the Department of Archives and Government Information since the 13th Five-year Plan, and hoped that the construction and development of archives discipline would be further improved in the 14th Five-year Plan. Ping Wang, Director of the Department of Archives and Government Information, introduced the construction of archives discipline and personnel training from the aspects of discipline evolution, teachers and talents, scientific research, teaching training and future planning.

Yuenan Liu affirmed the history and development of Archival Science in our school. She introduced the archives discipline construction and personnel training measures of Renmin University of China, focusing on the "integration of disciplines" and modular courses.

Jianhua Wu pointed out that archivists need to work together to strengthen the discipline. He put forward some suggestions on the discipline construction of archival science from the aspects of concise discipline direction, discipline personnel training and discipline characteristic construction.

Yongsheng Chen introduced the construction of archives discipline in Sun Yat-sen University, and gave some suggestions on the construction of archives discipline in combination with social needs and discipline development direction.

Caifu Li introduced the development of library, information and archives discipline in Anhui University, and expressed his views on personnel training, professional education and other issues.

Bo Jin introduced the development and discipline construction of archives education in Shanghai University, and expressed his opinions on the selection of research direction and personnel training system.

Zhen He introduced the experience of Xiangtan University and Hunan City School in the construction of archives discipline, and put forward some suggestions from discipline direction and personnel training ideas.

Xiaochun Liu affirmed the development achievements of archives discipline in our school, and put forward suggestions on the construction of archives discipline from the perspective of industry work. He pointed out that archives discipline construction needs to be planned and developed in the context of the "14th Five-year Plan", and curriculum construction needs to be demand-oriented and integrated.

This seminar was held under the background of the development plan of the 14th Five-year Plan, and discussed the discipline construction and its development ideas of archives of our school. It laid a good foundation for the construction planning of the archives discipline and further accelerating the development of archives discipline of our school.
