At the invitation of Wuhan Zhongshan Warship Museum, on the afternoon of January 27, 2021, leadership of our school and teachers went to the museum to discuss the strategic cooperation framework. Xingrong Fu, CPC Secretary of SIM, Wei Lu, Dean of SIM, Ping Wang, Director of the Department of Archives and Government Information, Jiming Hu, Deputy Director of the Department of Archives and Government Information, Zhilin He, Director of Wuhan Zhongshan Warship Museum, Xinyang Liu, Deputy Director of Wuhan Zhongshan Warship Museum, Chun Chen, Deputy Director of Wuhan Zhongshan Warship Museum, Changlin Lv, Director of Exhibition Planning Department, and other middle-level cadres and interns attended the exchange meeting and signing ceremony.

Leaders of Zhongshan Warship Museum welcomed the arrival of our school. Zhilin He said that School of Information Management, Wuhan University and Zhongshan Warship Museum have been good partners, and both sides have reached consensus in many aspects. I hope to continue to strengthen the information cooperation in the field of museum archives on the basis of previous cooperation, and expect Zhongshan Warship Museum to continue to take advantages of the strong academic force of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University.

Wei Lu appreciated Zhongshan Warship Museum’s invitation. He said that it was our honour to have long-term cooperation with Zhongshan Warship Museum which is a national level museum, thanked to Zhongshan Warship Museum for offering good internship opportunities for students of Wuhan University, the cooperation between the two sides was mutually beneficial and win-win, which not only would promote the development of academic research on archival science of the school, but also would solve many problems faced by the museum. We hope that both sides will give full play to their respective advantages and make good achievements.

Xingrong Fu said that the Zhongshan Warship Museum was the only key practice and training base of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University and we were very happy to maintain a long-term good cooperative relationship with the museum. The two sides should have more exchanges and support, pay attention to the cultivation of students and the academic research of museums, and form a development situation with complementary advantages. We look forward to a happy cooperation between the two sides.

Ping Wang spoke as the undertaker of scientific research contract project. He said that the two sides should carry out exchanges on specific cooperation contents, integrate what we have learned into their work, strengthen cross-border cooperation, integrate the development of Museology and Archival Science, and play a leading and exemplary role.

Jiming Hu, Changlin Lv and other teachers also had in-depth discussions on scientific research cooperation projects, talent training, future cooperation and development.

Finally, the museum and our school reached a consensus on cooperation in many aspects, Zhilin He and Wei Lu signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides. With warm applause, we are looking forward to the achievements of future cooperation and development.
