From July 29 to 30, Hubei Finals of the 8th China International College Students' "Internet +" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Hubei University of Technology. The Competition was conducted by virtual defense of the participating teams and on-site evaluation by judges. Two projects of our School won one gold and one silver in the Competition.

Under the instruction ofXiaoguang Wang, Professor at the Department of Publishing Science of our School, andLiang Zhao, teacher at the Department of Publishing Science of our School, the project Gathering Pearls from the Sea and Going to a New Life--Activating Chinese Cultural Relics with Wisdom and Inheriting Excellent Traditional Culture won the gold prize in the Track of Journey of the Youth’s Red Dream Realization.Haowen Gui, an undergraduate majors in Digital Publishing, was the team leader. This project was dedicated to gathering the data of Chinese cultural relics around the world, realizing the activation and utilization of cultural relics via digital technology, fully tapping the value of cultural relics, telling Chinese stories and spreading Chinese civilization.

Under the instruction ofJiang Wu, Professor at the Department of Electronic Commerce of our School, andChaocheng He, teacher at the Department of Electronic Commerce of our School, the project Hongtongtong--Opening a New Era of Virtual and Real Internet Red Education won the silver prize in the Track of Journey of the Youth’s Red Dream Realization.Zhe Cao, an undergraduate majors in Information Management and Information System, was the team leader. This project was dedicated to the creation of the red digital gene bank and the construction of the red cultural ecology. Relying on the self-developed Hongtongtong--A New Generation Of Red Metaverse Platform, it has launched a series of red cultural education services for various targeting groups and attracted the participation of all members of the society.

Since the launch of the 8th China International College Students' "Internet +" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, a total of 386 projects in Hubei Province have been shortlisted for the finals. Among them, Wuhan University recommended 50 projects, and won 35 prizes, including 10 gold prizes, 10 silver prizes and 15 bronze prizes.
