Recently, the results of the 2021 Fiberhome Cup Wuhan City Circle Open Data Innovation and Application Contest were published. The team "irlab" composed of SIM postgraduate students Jiani Huang, Daoyu Lei and Zi Xiong won the third prize in the Universities and Colleges Track, and the team "Blue Eagle" composed of SIM doctoral student Lei Hu won the second prize in the Professional Track.

The award-winning project of the team "irlab" is Deep Integration Map Platform of Government, University and Enterprise Based on Science and Technology Big Data, which is directed by Professor Wei Lu and Dr. Fengchang Yu, comprehensively utilizes knowledge map, natural language processing, website construction and other related knowledge and technologies, builds a deep integration map platform of government, university and enterprise based on science and technology big data, deeply digs the data of scientific and technological innovation achievements of government, universities and enterprises, assists policy formulation, promotes tripartite cooperation, promotes achievement transformation, and helps to realize the objective of "cooperation among government, university and enterprise".

The award-winning project of the team "Blue Eagle" is Sunshine Plan, Correcting Routes and Restarting Life--Research on Juvenile Delinquency. Through big data analysis and machine learning modeling analysis of juvenile delinquency data in Wuhan in the past five years, the project draws relevant conclusions. The research results can be widely used in education, public security, human resources and social security, drug control, trade unions and other departments and organizations of youth education, management and assistance.

The 2021 Fiberhome Cup Wuhan City Circle Open Data Innovation and Application Contest was jointly organized by the Government Services and Big Data Administration of 9 cities, which are Wuhan, Huangshi, Ezhou, Xiaogan, Huanggang, Xianning, Xiantao, Tianmen and Qianjiang. It aims to implement the work requirements of Hubei Province on building a new regional development layout of "one master leading, two wings driving, and whole coordination", further improve the level of public data openness in the metropolitan area, promote the cross-regional circulation of metropolitan area data, create an innovative ecology of metropolitan area data integration and promote the development of digital economy. The Contest attracted 314 teams from Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Macao University of Science and Technology and other domestic famous universities and outstanding enterprises in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Heilongjiang and other places to sign up for the contest, including 204 university teams and 110 professional teams.
