On November 25, the signing ceremony of "Insurance Data Intelligent Joint Laboratory" jointly built by Wuhan University and Taikang Online Property Insurance Co., Ltd. was held. The laboratory will commit to four core functions, which are cutting-edge science and technology research, scientific and technological trend insight, intellectual property research and innovation pilot incubation, so as to better serve the vast number of clients and industry ecology.

In her speech, Xuemei Zhao introduced the abundant teachers and research capabilities of Wuhan University in the fields of information resource management, big data analysis, artificial intelligence and smart city. She pointed out that the joint construction of "Insurance Data Intelligent Joint Laboratory" by the university and Taikang Online is not only a response to the actual measure of "vigorously developing strategic emerging industries, promoting the deep integration of Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and other industries" proposed at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, but also a correct decision to actively embrace the era of big data. She hoped that, with the establishment of the joint laboratory, the advantages of university-enterprise cooperation will be brought into full play, the scientific research and innovation ability of Wuhan University and the industry advantages of Taikang will be combined to make breakthroughs in the direction of big health, Internet insurance and data intelligence, promote business innovation through technological research and development, realize mutual benefit and win-win results, and open a new chapter of extensive exchanges and common development between the two sides.

Dongsheng Chen delivered a speech entitledEmbracing Great Health and Ushering in an Era of Longevity. He said that he would fully support the cooperation between Taikang Online and Wuhan University and actively create conditions for the operation of the joint laboratory. He hoped that the united laboratory can actively seize the technological commanding heights, new competitive advantages and development initiative, and find a new path in the fields of artificial intelligence, insurance technology and financial technology, which will not only improve the scientific and technological innovation ability of Taikang Online, but also make positive contributions to the scientific research and personnel training of Wuhan University.

The Insurance Data Intelligent Joint Laboratory will focus on natural language processing, question answering robots, AI human-computer collaboration, machine reading comprehension, financial big data analysis and other fields, and in combination with the actual development of Internet insurance technology, carry out basic theoretical research and applied technological innovation research, so as to better serve the vast number of clients and industry ecology. As early as 2016, the School of Information Management of Wuhan University and Taikang Online began to cooperate in the fields of automatic question answering, face comparison, credential recognition and knowledge mining, and jointly developed insurance automatic Q &A customer service robot, face comparison system, credential recognition system and other high-tech achievements, making positive contributions to the innovation and development of Taikang Online and China's Internet insurance industry.
