On the afternoon of October 30, the appointment ceremony of Mr. Xuzhou Zhou, an outstanding alumni of Wuhan University, was held in the 212 lecture hall of our school.

People attended the ceremony were as followings:

Xiaomei Deng, Director of Alumni Affairs and Development Liaison Office,

Wentao Zeng, Vice President of Alumni Entrepreneur Association of Wuhan University, and CEO of Zhongjia Capital (Wuhan) Investment Management Co., Ltd. ,

Xingrong Fu, CPC Secretary of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University,

Wei Lu, Dean of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, and other members of leadership of the School of Information Management. More than 110 representatives of teachers and students attended the ceremony.

Xingrong Fu presided over the appointment ceremony.

Wei Lu introduced the basic information of Xuzhou Zhou. Ping Wu presented Xuzhou Zhou with the Letter of Adjunct Professor appointment, and student representative presented flowers to Xuzhou Zhou.

Xuzhou Zhou expressed that as an alumni of Wuhan University, he was deeply honored and proud to be appointed as adjunct professor at his alma mater, which was a surprise, an incentive and even a spur. Thanks to the alma mater's trust, he would work harder in the future and strive to contribute more to the development of alma mater.

Ping Wu pointed out that Xuzhou Zhou and other outstanding alumni have fully proved the effectiveness of our university's talent training. They have made outstanding achievements in many industries and enterprises, showing their strong fighting spirit and persistent will. She hoped that students would follow the example of outstanding alumni, study hard, cultivate the determination and perseverance to overcome all difficulties, and actively give back to society and Alma Mater while achieving personal value; she hoped that Xuzhou Zhou would often return to his alma mater to give instruction to students after he was appointed as adjunct professor, and convey the thoughts, feelings and responsibilities of an outstanding alumni entrepreneur and excellent teacher.

Mr. Xuzhou Zhou was a 1978-year-level undergraduate student and 1982-year-level graduate student majored in Library Science of our school. He founded U-Home Group in the year of 1992. He is now the Chairman and President of U-Home Group, Executive Director and Chairman of Meilleure Health International Industry Group, and the Chairman of Zhongjia Capital (Wuhan) Investment Management Co., Ltd. He was elected as Vice President of Alumni Entrepreneur Association of Wuhan University in 2013, the Eighth Outstanding Alumni of Wuhan University in 2018, and he is also the only alumni who was awarded the title of Outstanding Alumni of Wuhan University of our school. In 2019, he was selected into the list of 100 Chinese Entrepreneurs.
