Graduate School of Wuhan University, Qing Fang, former Dean of the School of Information Management and current Dean of Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences attended the meeting. Members of the former and current leadership, staff above deputy director level and representatives of retired teachers attended the meeting. At the meeting, Taihuai Sun, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of Wuhan University Party committee, read out the appointment decision of the University Party committee as followers:

ØWei Lu was the incoming Dean of School of Information Management, Wuhan University.

ØJiang Wu, Xiaoguang Wang, Lihong Zhou and Hua Wang were the incoming Associate Dean of School of Information Management, Wuhan University.

Professor Qing Fang, on behalf of the former school leadership, reviewed and summarized the development and achievements of School of Information Management in the past eight years. He expressed gratitude for the long-time attention and support from leaders of Wuhan University, and expressed gratitude for the hard working as well as understanding and tolerance of the members of school leadership and the faculty and students. He said that the School of Information Management was his permanent home and would continue to pay close attention to and support school’s development in the future. He hoped that, at the time of school’s centennial anniversary, under the leadership of the new administrative leading team, the school would continue to inherit the tradition of "pioneering and creating, pragmatic entrepreneurship, leading innovation" and start a more brilliant new journey.

Wei Lu made a speech on behalf of the incoming administrative leading team. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders at all levels for their concern and support for the school for a long time, for the trust and support of the faculty and staff of the school, and for the outstanding contributions made by the previous administrative leading teams to the development of the school. He said that he would live up to the trust of the University and the great trust of all the teachers and students of the school, continuously learning to improve the ability of scientific development, unite the members of school leadership, and perform his responsibilities and commitment as well. In the new development period, he would focus on the work of construction and development of the world-class discipline "Library, Information and Data Science", and adhere to the development ideas of insisting on teaching as the basis, scientific researching as development, talented people as strengthening and opening up to running the school. Constantly enhance service awareness, create a good atmosphere, take reform and innovation as the development power of the school, and lead the teachers and students of the school to make unremitting efforts for a more brilliant future, so as to realize a new leap forward in the school development.
