In order to further promote interdisciplinary integration and strengthen scientific research cooperation, on the afternoon of April 6, Dean Wei Lu, Associate Dean Jiang Wu and Associate Dean Xiaoguang Wang led a SIM team toWuhan Institute of Biotechnologyfor investigation and exchange. Chaoxiong Yao, Associate Dean ofWuhan Institute of Biotechnology,Hanrui Zhang, General Manager of Wuhan National-level Human Genetic Resource Bank, and heads of relevant departments had talks with our delegation.

Wei Lu briefly introduced the school-running characteristics, discipline direction, scientific research and platform construction of our school, and put forward the cooperation ideas from four aspects: data resource construction, data intelligent processing, technology research and development, innovation and entrepreneurship. He hoped that the two sides could form a long-term communication mechanism, give full play to their respective advantages and seek in-depth cooperation in scientific research.

Chaoxiong Yao welcomed the arrival of our school and introduced the history and application requirements of Wuhan Institute of Biotechnology. He expressed that the two sides have good cooperation advantages in data security, standard formulation, technology research and development, development and utilization of data resources, personnel training, etc. He hoped that the next step would be to continue to strengthen cooperation and let the cooperation results be implemented.
