In order to further deepen the theoretical learning results of the classroom, deepen the understanding and grasp of the development of the archives industry, and explore the special value of red file resources in the centenary of the founding of the CPC, 25 undergraduates of Archival Science major of the SIM, led by Yujue Wang, Deputy Director of Archives and Government Administration Information Science Department, went to Changsha, Hunan Province for three days to carry out professional practice activities.

In the Department of Utilization Service of Hunan Archives, students have learned the process of file review and utilization on the spot, and read the precious collection files such as the records of Huangpu Military Academy. In the file repair and mounting studio, the working staff showed their love and awe for the profession, deeply moved every student. At the same time, the application of digital, simulation technology and 3D printing in archives work makes students feel the promotion of the technology development to the archives work.

Under the leadership of Tiantian Ouyang, a working staff of the Archives Compilation and Research Department, the students visited the Towards Brilliance -- Centennial Archives and Literature Exhibition of Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPC, which to be held on July 1. They had a deep understanding of the whole process of archives planning from archives collection, storage, simulation production to publicity and promotion, and had a deeper understanding of the important role of archives service in social construction and national memory preservation. The precious archives and documents make students feel the past, present and the future of the times.

In this practical activity, students also visited Yuan Longping Rice Museum to learn about the provision of public cultural services and the collection project of scientists' growth resources. In Yuelu Academy and China Academy Museum, students felt how to integrate the literature heritage into the inheritance and identity education of Chinese traditional culture. In Orange Island, students recalled the great man’s great ambition and carried out special group activities.

Through a few days of professional practice, the students realized the value of archives major in the construction of social memory in different periods, felt the dual empowerment of "technology" and "humanity" to the archival cause, more aware of the special role of archives in the development of century CPC history education, and established the determination to devote themselves to the professional construction and industry development.
